ArchiveFyrdiriks at Grefsheim
Carl Frederik Diriks (1814-1895) was director of lighthouses and an artist, known as Fyrdiriks (‘Lighthouse Diriks’). He drew places and people, often with humour, in pencil and pen.
He was a good friend of the family at Grefsheim and a frequent guest at the farm. He left more than 30 drawings and watercolours of Grefsheim, and together they give a rare picture of life on the farm. This is a selection. The drawings shown here are from Grefsheim's own collection and depict scenes from the farm. They have previously been shared with Anno museum.
