1993
In July 1993 Grefsheim had some unusual guests.
Israeli and Palestinian negotiators met in secret at the farm to discuss a peace agreement. Johan and Anne Lise Mellbye, who owned Grefsheim, were the hosts.
The meetings were part of the secret negotiations that later led to the Oslo Accords. At Grefsheim the talks came close to breaking down.
On 12 September 1993 VG told the story over two pages. The next day the agreement was signed in public in Washington.
